Davies has participated in numerous private M&A transactions including:

  • Sale of Gage Learning Corporation to Nelson, a division of Thomson Canada Limited.;
  • Acquisition of the logo division of Affinity Express, Inc. by Affinity Identity Programs Inc. and Illumina Partners Inc.;
  • Acquisition by Illumina Partners Inc. of the majority of the assets of Silex Inc. through its wholly-owned subsidiary Silex Innovations Inc.;
  • Acquisition by Borealis Infrastructure Management Inc., Ontario Teachers Pension Plan Board and BC Gas Inc. of the Express Pipeline System from EnCana Corporation (approximately $1.175 billion);
  • Acquisition of CanWest Global Communication Corp.'s community newspapers and related assets in southern Ontario, other than the Windsor Star ($193.5 million).
