Our litigation practice group works on a wide variety of financial restructuring and insolvency litigation matters. The group has acted for debtors, creditors and other stakeholders in dealing with insolvent corporations and has been involved in virtually every major restructuring that has occurred over the past years. Our litigation lawyers have provided advice and litigation services in connection with receiverships, bankruptcies, applications under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and related insolvency proceedings.

- Acting for Metso Paper Ltd, a significant creditor of Papiers Gaspésia LP, in Gaspésia's CCAA restructuring;
- Acted for John Hancock Life Insurance Company, a secured lender of Papiers Gaspésia LP, in Gaspésia’s CCAA restructuring;
- Acting for Eaux Vives Harricana Inc., a subsidiary of Parmalat Canada Inc., in its CCAA restructuring;
- Acting for various creditors in the bankrupcy of Jetsgo Corporation;
- Acted for RSM Richter Inc., Court appointed Monitor in the restructuring of Uniforest Inc. and its affiliates;
- Acted for Mc Watters Mining Inc. and its affiliates in their CCAA restructuring.
