Davies acted for Canadian steel giant Ivaco Inc., and several Ivaco subsidiaries, in CCAA proceedings commenced in September of 2003, including the sale to The Heico Companies, L.L.C., a US-based holding company, of the assets of the Ivaco companies for CDN $375 million. The assets included four manufacturing plants at locations in Ontario and in Québec with  a combined employment of over 2200 employees.
