ROW Entertainment Income Fund acquired all of the home entertainment distribution assets of Video One Canada Ltd from Standard Broadcasting Corporation Ltd for Cdn$74 million to create one of Canada's leading distributors of home entertainment products, including CDs, DVDs and multiplatform video games. Under the terms of the agreement, ROW paid 50% in cash and 50% in stock. Davies advised both ROW and Standard Broadcasting regarding relevant competition law matters, including regulatory clearance under the Competition Act.
